Team Tonic Update 🌈
We're pleased to announce the appointment of two new staff members to the Tonic Team! We’re incredibly excited to have Sherine and Hugh join us, to take the team back up to 4 members and to help us evolve Tonic now that we have our first residents at Tonic@Bankhouse.
Hugh O’Keeffe
Operations Director
Hugh joined Team Tonic in May of 2022 to support the growth of Tonic and its expanding community. He started his career in Facilities Management specialising in Environmental Health and Safety, and Risk Management. Hugh came to Tonic after working directly with London’s young LGBT+ community, as the Assistant Director of Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons’ Trust.
Hugh is a Trustee of the Muscle Help Foundation a charity devoted to crafting empowering experiences for young people with Muscular Dystrophy and allied neuromuscular conditions across the UK. He sits on the Crown Prosecution Service’s Local Scrutiny Involvement Panel (LSIP) for London North as well as the disability community panel for LGBT+ Consortium’s equity fund.
In all things, his skills, experience and passion sees him looking to connect Tonic’s residents with more of their peers and to create an environment in which they are truly free to be themselves.
Sherine Balogun
Community Manager
Sherine joined Team Tonic is April of 2022 and will be based at Tonic@Bankhouse, supporting and building our community, leading on our events and clubs for residents and conducting our sales viewings
Sherine has worked within the Housing Sector for 10 years. Sherine began her career within repairs and maintenance and developed her customer care skills through accelerated training. She believes in putting residents first and will always communicate using a caring and compassionate nature.
Sherine celebrates diversity and has in the past worked with people from many walks of life and assisted them with the challenges that they are facing. This trait is something that is echoed in her professional and personal life. Sherine is an advocate for doing the right thing.
