Tonic November Update

Tonic’s Office Move

Sadly, our previous office location on Berwick Street in Soho is closing. A huge thank you to everyone at Sohost for the many years of friendly smiles, kindness and especially your help in keeping Tonic going during the lockdowns! We will miss you!

On the 1st November, we moved offices to be on Albert Embankment in Vauxhall, just down the road from Tonic@Bankhouse! This will be the team’s main base, along with hybrid working from home.

This means our address has changed and all correspondence can now be sent to:

Tonic Housing, Vintage House, 36-37 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7TL

New appointments to the Tonic team!

You may have seen our recent advertisements for our Head of Operations and Head of Communications vacancies.

We are very excited to announce that we have appointed Bob Green OBE (he/him) to Head of Operations. He started with us on Monday 14th November. Bob has worked in various roles within social housing for over 30 years, including 14 years as the Chief Executive of Stonewall Housing. Most recently, he has been working with LGBT Foundation to develop an LGBT Extra Care Scheme in Manchester. Bob was awarded an OBE for his services to LGBT communities in the 2017 New Year’s Honours List.

We are also very excited to announce that we have appointed Cat Halsan (she/her) to Head of Communications. She will be starting with us in early 2023. Cat is a comms specialist who has worked in the queer housing sector for over 12 years. Her passion throughout her career has been to advocate, elevate and amplify the voices of the LGBTQ+ community, and she strives to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home.

Cat was featured in the Top 100 Visible Lesbians list in 2020 and the Top 100 Powerful Lesbians list in 2021. During her time as Initiatives Manager at Stonewall Housing, Cat was the Producer of the pathbreaking, feature-length documentary ‘Less’, orchestrated the extraordinary Let’s Talk to our Elders series and founded the multi-award nominated House of Stonewall.
