Who will care for you when you get older?
It’s a question that we all come to ask ourselves at some point in our lives and one that for LGBT people can cause particular anxiety, perhaps because of fractured family relationships or perhaps because of recent history where same-sex relationships were not recognised. We have established TONIC – A Fresh Approach to LGBT Older Living – because we want to work with the LGBT community and others in identifying new solutions to growing old together.
With the financial support of some of the UK’s largest charitable foundations, we will be exploring these new ideas throughout 2015. At the end of 2015, we will publish a report in which we will outline our findings and provide the detail on how we propose making these new ideas happen. If you would like to follow our progress, or if you would like to participate directly in our community consultations, you can do so through social media or by registering here
